I am thankful for Happiness. For warm hugs and snuggling. For my dog who greats me with joy even if it’s just because I went to the bathroom. I am grateful for snowflakes that melt on my nose and eyelashes (name that movie). I am thankful for being able-bodied. I am grateful for the blessings and happiness that I receive each day.
I am thankful for Naivety. I am grateful that my kids don’t get the adult humor that is in many movies. I am thankful that they are still naive enough to think I know everything.(Hello, even when I am wrong, I am right!) I am thankful that my heart is still naive enough to think that all people are good and that I believe others are good until they prove me wrong by their actions.
I am thankful for making mistakes. If I hadn’t made the mistakes I have made in my past, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Those mistakes led to choices that eventually lead to my wonderful husband and two sons. I think we all have our “It’s a Wonderful Life” moments where we wonder if we matter. I look at my family and am thankful that the mistakes I have made have led me here.
